Matinee 2.2 Available Friday Now
Abraham, chief technical guru behind the Matinee Video_TS launcher, sends word that version 2.2 of his handy dandy DVD launcher/organizer will be available on “Tiger Friday”. Among the revisions since version 2.1:
• Tiger compatible
• Massive code overhaul
• New preferences sheet
• Improved performance
The following snippet of text, from Matinee’s front page caught my eye.
Cleaning up the code has also helped us lay the ground work for several exciting new features that will be headed your way soon.

Actually, since people are getting their copies of Tiger today via FedEx, I decided to release it a bit early. You can find it on the Matinee web site, Version Tracker or MacUpdate.

If you would add an interface that could be used with remote control (and perhaps the ability to open movie files from the same interface, though I know I’m pushing it on that), this and iTunes would be all the mac media center most people would need.
