DistantDVD
I just ran across a slick looking VIDEO_TS launcher named DistantDVD on our forums. The app has a nice clean dark look to it that would lend itself well to the home theater environment.
distantDVD is a program that lets your organize, browse and watch your DVD collection, without having to find the DVD.
Your ripped DVD folders can be on any computer, using any operating system, on your home network. If you can mount the drive and you have read and write access to it, you can use distantDVD to play that film!
With the help of great ripping tools like MacTheRipper, you can put your entire movie collection on your Mac or PC and peruse your collection at your leisure!
I have to say from the screen shots this app has a very polished look to it. No mention on DistantDVD’s site of how the cover art is imported, something a little more automated than dropping a jpeg in a folder would be nice. I’ll give a spin later on and update the post.
–Update–
Currently you need a display capable of supporting 1360×768 to run DistantDVD, as mine tops out at 1280×720 I’ll have to wait for the promised update.

Looks killer - definitely a bit more polished than the current champ, Matinee.
